How it works.
In traditional therapy or counselling the effort is to rationalize or help the client gain a different viewpoint on what is causing them their suffering. While this is definitely useful and can achieve some amazing results, it can normally have a limited value. For example if a client was raised with a background that fostered excessive guilt, in traditional theory they may try things such as retrieving repressed memories, rationalizing away the guilt through thought processes, or giving the client tools for when the guilt arrives. Again while this may be helpful it tends to never cure the root of the emotionality of the problem. The client may be employing tools as the guilt comes up, but he is still at the effect of it, using the various techniques to fight back against the guilt rather than transcending it altogether.
Letting go on the either hand would have the person ignore all thoughts and focus on the feeling of guilt. The feeling would be allowed to come up and run its course, without the person trying to figure it out, do anything about it, or get rid of it. After a while of this eventually the guilt feeling would run out. It may return a couple of times but eventually if this process is followed the guilt feeling would run out and stop reoccurring as the repressed emotion behind it runs out.

My Approach
The focus on all calls is immediately to help the client feel what is happening inside. The focus is directed away from thoughts about the problem to the underlying feeling. This is to avoid the trap of endless intellectualizing and thinking about a problem which tends to distract from simply being with the feeling and letting it run out. Sometimes the first part of the call may involve periods of silence as we sit with the repressed feeling and allow it to come up, the simple act of voicing to someone else what is happening and letting it run tends to have immediate profound results. At this point it may clear up, be replaced by the next repressed feeling which we can look at, or if it persists self inquiry may be made into why the mind is hanging on to the feeling.
1: Identifying the emotion.We will identify what it is that is holding you back.

2: Release the suppresed energy.We will start to bring the energy up to heal it, immediately awareness will start decompressing what is there.

3: Enquiry into the feeling.If still needed at this point we will look into why the feeling is there, would purpose it holds and why it is being held on to, this will start to release it from the psyche.
